A windshield is laminated glass bonded into the body shell, and on a car that lives near the bay that bond earns its keep twice over. We cut the old bead out, lift the glass off whole, then stop and look hard at the flange. Vehicles kept a few blocks from the boats often show blistering along the bottom corners where salt has crept under the paint. Flaking metal gets taken back to something solid, primed, and left to flash off before any urethane touches it.
